Chubu International Airport, the main airport since opening in 2005, Shinkansen services and extensive railway network allow for easy access to anywhere in Gifu Prefecture.
The Meishin Expressway and Chuo Expressway, which run through Gifu, are major arteries of Japan's transportation system and the Tokai Hokuriku Expressway, completed in July 2008, the Tokai Kanjo Expressway whose eastern-route has opened, and the Chubu Expressway are interconnected and will form a comprehensive road network in the near future. |
