What to do if
you think you have Influenza
If you have symptoms, such as a fever, cough,
and a sore throat, and would like to visit a medical institution:

Call the doctorfs office first. Follow the instructions, such as
visiting hours. Wear a mask when
you visit the clinic.

Those at high-risk:
In addition to
senior citizens of age 65 or above, infants and small children, women who are
pregnant, and those with underlying medical conditions such as chronic
cardiopulmonary diseases, diabetes and kidney disease (high-risk groups), may
be at risk for developing severe symptoms or health conditions, should they be
infected. For this reason, if you are a member of one of these groups please
seek immediate medical attention should you experience influenza-like symptoms.

The Gifu Real Time Infectious Disease
Surveillance System website displays information on the state of infections in
the prefecture, in real time. Information from medical institutions as well as
data from every school in the prefecture, relating to absences and closures, is
broken down into (1) prefectural level, (2) the five regional area levels and
(3) the 27 block levels, and displayed on the map. The site is updated with the
latest information every day.
