Web Browser Support Functions(Text Enlargement, Color Change, Furigana and Text to Voice)

By simply clicking on the buttons at the top of the web page, visitors are able to change the color of the homepage, enlarge the text, display furigana, have the text read out and more, without downloading any special software.

 

Text Enlargement

Enlarge the text by clicking the icon.

Color Change

Change the webpage background color by clicking the icon.

Text Enlargement

Change the size of the text by clicking the icon.

To scale down the size of the text, click the small"A" button.

100%

  •    100%(Normal Size) displays the text in the default size of the browser you use.
  •    Click the medium "A" button.

200%

  •     200%(Large) displays the text in double the default size of the browser you use.
  •     Click the large "A" button.

Change the webpage background color by clicking the icon.
You can select a black background, a yellow background, or a standard background by clicking the relevant icon.
White text on black background (high contrast) and black text on yellow background (high contrast) are easy to read color combinations for persons who are unable to read the screen well (persons with short sight which does not warrant glasses or other).

Operating Requirements for Web Browser Support Functions

Web browser support functions (text enlargement, color change, furigana and text to voice) use JavaScript and cookies. Activate JavaScript on your browser before use.
Without JavaScript enabled, you cannot use the text enlargement and color change functions but you can use text to voice and furigana display functions.

How to activate JavaScript

The Gifu Prefecture homepage uses JavaScript for web browser support functions (text enlargement, color change, furigana and text to voice and more). Without JavaScript enabled, the site cannot correctly be displayed so please enable JavaScript.

For Windows Users

Internet Explorer for Windows Settings

1.Click on Internet Explorer's menu bar, and from the menu select "internet options".

2.When you open "internet options" click on "security".

3.Confirm the Internet icon with globe is displayed and press the "default setting" button. If you cannot click the button the "default setting" is selected.

4.Click OK.

Firefox for Windows Settings

Java script is activated by default on Firefox.

1. Click on Safari and select "configurations".

Using PDF

To use PDF files, Adobe Reader, which is freely distributed by Adobe systems, is necessary.

How to Access

For mobile phones, which can read QR code, you can easily access the mobile site using the below QR codes.
